Financial Policy & Insurance

 

Dr. Slemko strives to deliver the finest surgical care at the most reasonable cost, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered. Fees are based on dental specialist fees in British Columbia. Some surgeries may be covered totally by the medical services plan of BC (BC Care Card) if applicable. All fees will be discussed at the consultation visit. Should you have dental insurance coverage we are able to submit most claims electronically on your behalf for reimbursement. 

 

Please remember that insurance coverage is a contract between each patient, their employer, and the insurance provider. We work with you and your insurance company to minimize your fees due at the time of evaluation and treatment, and to maximize your reimbursements. Following your consultation appointment, you will be given an estimate of the total cost of your surgery. We will then work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date. It is important to remember that our patients are responsible for all fees charged by the office regardless of their insurance coverage. 

 

Please bring your up-to-date insurance information with you to the consultation so that we can expedite reimbursement. Your plan will not notify us of changes and will limit communication with our office because of PIPA.
